GURU teaching advertisement is a fraud! Female accountant's investment failed and her savings were defrauded

The stock investment teaching advertisement on social media is a fraud! A 32 -year-old female accountant failed to learn stock investment and was defrauded of more than 40,000 ringgit (about 10,500 US dollars) of her savings.

came across a stock investment advertisement on Instagram on December 6 last year and was attracted by the content of the advertisement. She then clicked on the link and was contacted via WhatsApp ( 016-8872915 ), and was added to a WhatsApp group called " PJT Academy " .

During her time in the group, the female accountant was taught how to invest in stocks. When she began to be interested in investing, she was asked to contact another customer service staff ( 017-2738436 ).

The female accountant then downloaded the mobile application Boom-S according to the instructions, filled in her personal and bank information , and began investing. Between January 13 and March 4 this year , she transferred RM46,534 ( about US$ 10,500 ) to five bank accounts .

When the female accountant requested to claim the investment profit, she was asked to pay 620,000 ringgit (about 139,600 US dollars). After all her attempts to claim the profit failed, she realized that she had been cheated and called the police.

Assistant Commissioner Rabu, the Johor Bahru South District Police Chief, issued a statement today stating that the five bank accounts to which the female accountant transferred funds were named Booms Global Limited ( twice in different banks), Boom Asia Machinery , Boom Plus Trading and Booms Glass and Aluminium .

" After verification by the Semak Mule (money mule verification) platform, the above bank accounts all had 4 fraud records. " He said the police are investigating the case under Section 420 of the Penal Code ( fraud ). He urged the public to verify the authenticity of individual and company investments through the Securities and Futures Commission before investing, avoid providing personal and bank information, do not trust short-term high-return investments, use the Semak Mule platform to check suspicious bank accounts and pay attention to police social media information.
