A young man who trusted a female netizen he just met lost 60,000 yuan in 3 days

" sexy female netizen " on Facebook , and the next day he was persuaded to invest in an e-commerce platform. In just three days, he was defrauded of 160,000 ringgit (about 36,000 US dollars).

The victim was 30 years old and was a salesman. At 9:50 pm on February 11 this year , he was browsing Facebook at his residence when he met a " sexy beauty " . The " beauty " first introduced him to a part-time online job with high commissions, and then invited him to participate in the online investment and trading of an e-commerce platform.

The victim then contacted the person in charge of the e-commerce platform via WhatsApp , who explained the nature of the work to him and promised that the more money he invested, the more generous the return he would get. The victim became more and more interested and agreed to participate in the investment.

From February 12 to 14 , in just three days, the victim followed the instructions of the other party and transferred 9 times online , totaling RM160,000 (about US$ 36,000 ) to the bank accounts of several strangers designated by the other party. Afterwards, he tried to contact the person in charge to find out when he would get the reward, but the other party's phone could no longer be reached. After the victim found out that he had been cheated, he went to the Nanlan Police Station to report the case.
