
According to Vietnamese media reports on March 7 , the Lao Cai Province police raided two local gambling " clubs " and arrested 97 people, including 69 Chinese. In addition, the police also seized assets involved in the case worth about 720 billion Vietnamese dong.

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Police on March 7 , the two " clubs " were led by Jiang Lei (translated name, Khương L ỗ i , 30 years old, Chinese nationality) and Liu Jianji (translated name, Lưu Kiến Cơ , 50 years old, Vietnamese nationality). The two colluded with the Vietnamese to operate gambling and fraud activities in the " club " .


After professional investigation, on the afternoon of March 6 , the Lao Cai Provincial Police, in coordination with the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, conducted a surprise inspection of two " clubs " suspected of operating gambling and fraud activities on the second floor of the Royal Hotel in Phư ờ ng Duyên H ả i , Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province . At the scene, the police controlled and arrested 97 gambling suspects, 69 of whom were Chinese nationals. When they were arrested by the police, these people were organizing and conducting gambling activities in various forms. #


In the two " clubs " , the police also seized a large amount of RMB and chips, equivalent to about 720 billion Vietnamese dong. In addition, the police also seized 50 decks of playing cards, 30 computers, 12 monitors, 90 mobile phones and other tools used to organize gambling activities. Currently, the Lao Cai Provincial Police are conducting further investigations into the case.
