The Prime Minister stressed that since the appointment of General Sonveet to fight drugs, fraud and human trafficking, the relevant committee has launched strong law enforcement operations in key areas, especially in the northern and northeastern border areas of Thailand, and has joined forces with various departments to strengthen border management in an all-round way, including land, water and air control . Prime Minister Petunthan pointed out that Thailand must work closely with neighboring countries to jointly combat transnational criminal organizations in order to effectively curb illegal activities. She believes that if regional cooperation can be strengthened, relevant issues will be quickly resolved. At the same time, she announced that she will personally go to Nakhon Sawan Province on March 21 to supervise the progress of combating drug crimes with security agencies, ensure that instructions are issued in a timely manner, and resolve any difficulties that may be encountered as soon as possible.
In addition, Petuntan proposed three specific measures to further strengthen border security 'governance':
First, we require all relevant units to intensify their efforts to combat drugs, and at the same time study the feasibility of setting up drug rehabilitation and psychological rehabilitation centers in the community to provide more convenient and efficient rehabilitation services
Second, ask the Narcotics Control Commission to re-evaluate the frequency of drug destruction, and recommend shortening the destruction cycle to once every two months, and optimizing related processes to speed up the progress of drug destruction
'Third': Instruct relevant departments and the Budget Bureau to evaluate the feasibility of deploying X -ray vehicle screening systems in border areas to enhance the ability to intercept illegal drug smuggling.
Petuntan stressed that the government will continue to take resolute measures and work together with all parties to resolutely combat drugs, telecommunications fraud and transnational crimes, effectively enhance the sense of social security, and allow people to live in peace .
