According to authoritative sources, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security officially announced on March 4 that it had successfully received more than 620 Chinese citizens suspected of participating in telecommunications fraud activities in the Myawaddy region of Myanmar. This is an important achievement in strengthening cross-border police cooperation between China and Myanmar.

as early as February 28 , the Chinese Ministry of Public Security issued a statement that representatives of the law enforcement agencies of China, Myanmar and Thailand had held a high-level coordination meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, and reached a number of substantive agreements on combating transnational telecommunications network fraud. The meeting clearly stated that it would further strengthen the intelligence sharing mechanism, severely crack down on cross-border corruption, and effectively limit the scope of criminal network activities.

of the repatriation work, the three countries also reached a consensus on improving the efficiency of the repatriation process and pledged to continue to deepen police cooperation with other countries in the region to jointly maintain regional peace and stability. According to the news, the Karen Border Guard (BGF) of Myanmar has detained more than 7,000 foreign nationals suspected of participating in the Myawaddy money laundering and fraud activities, and some of them have been repatriated. China is also taking a batch-by-batch approach to orderly handle the repatriation of Chinese citizens involved in the case.

This large-scale repatriation operation is seen as an important step for China to combat cross-border telecommunications fraud, and also highlights the determination and cooperation of regional countries in combating transnational crime.
