Recently, a large-scale cross-border repatriation storm has been set off in the Myawaddy area of Karen State, Myanmar. In an exclusive interview with Thailand's The Nation, Su Chit Thu, commander-in-chief of the Karen Border Guard Force (BGF), revealed that the special operation to combat transnational fraud has achieved remarkable results. So far, 7,235 victims have been successfully rescued , from Vietnam ( 1,200 people) , Malaysia ( 850 people) , Myanmar ( 2,100 people), Thailand ( 1,085 people), South Korea ( 500 people ), China ( 300 people) and other countries, of which 350 people were forced to work and 1,120 people were abused .

In the fraud dens, the victims are in a miserable situation. If their performance does not meet the standards, they will be beaten and electrocuted, and they are strictly prohibited from contacting the outside world. They can only be forced to defraud netizens in exchange for so-called " freedom " .

Su Qidu said that the " clearing of the black industry chain " operation is still going on, and the ultimate goal is to increase the number of repatriated people to more than 23,000 . The reporter interviewed the arrested people and learned that they came to Myanmar for different reasons to engage in 'fraud': 30% were deceived by False high-paying job information, and entered Myanmar with beautiful dreams, but fell into the quagmire of fraud; 40% were trafficked here by human trafficking organizations, lost their personal freedom, and were forced to participate in fraud; the remaining 30% were forced to participate in fraud because of life pressure and desperation.
